Due to go to site in early 2017, this design all about creating a dual purpose space which is both intimate for use by the family but also welcoming and spacious enough to entertain friends. The main area is to be made up of an open sided oak garden room - at one end, it is to have a lime rendered fireplace complete with sofas and, at the other, a sunken hot tub surrounded by planting. Above all of this will be Moroccan inspired pendant lights hanging from the vaulted ceiling and below a floor of vintage limestone.
Outside, the clay pavers will create an additional entertaining space whilst guiding you around the top section framing both the structure and the planting beds that surround it. Down a flight of steps will be a small granite sett courtyard complete with water rill and pool. A bench to catch the morning sun creates a lovely space for an al fresco coffee.
