This design was all about creating a dual purpose space which was both intimate for use by the family but also welcoming and spacious enough to entertain friends.
The main area is made up of an open sided oak garden room. At one end, it has a lime rendered fireplace complete with sofas and, at the other, a sunken plunge pool surrounded by planting. Above all of this are pendant lights hanging from the vaulted ceiling and, below, a floor of vintage limestone.
Outside, the clay pavers create an additional entertaining space whilst guiding you around the top section framing both the structure and the planting beds that surround it. Down a flight of steps is a small granite sett courtyard complete with water rill and pool. Seating to catch the morning sun creates a lovely space for an al fresco coffee.
