Designed for BBC Gardeners' World Live in 2008, the garden was designed as if it were an urban garden for a real couple. The idea was that the deck would flow out from the back of the house leading you down to a sunken seating area. The raised planter by the house end acting as both seating but also a green structure to frame the main seating space complete with bean bags and firepit. The central console that split the middle and bottom sections of the garden became its own wine rack and wine cooler in the form of a sink.

The final third of the garden was shade covered with five Sorbus trees. A hammock was hung up for relaxing and the Breedon Aggregate lent itself perfectly to a game of petanque. The reclaimed brick walls gave the whole space a wonderfully warm backdrop. The planting was dominated by grasses and structure with box balls. In the shaded area, ferns and Persicaria combined really beautifully. Most of this garden was recycled after the show and used on other projects.
