This project was a small walled family garden in the heart of Leamington Spa. Our clients had two young boys so it was vital to retain some lawn for them. Like lots of urban spaces, all the walls were going in different directions and created some really interesting, if a little awkward, angles.
The top of the garden got the most sun and was the natural home for the main seating space. Covered with an oak pergola, the wall was painted and three tea chests where lined and filled with lavender to create a fresh feeling for the space. A planting bed then enclosed the patio space whilst also separating it from the side gate and acting as a lovely green picture when standing at the kitchen sink. Towards the bottom of the garden, a small granite sett space was created directly outside the kitchen french doors - ideal for a morning coffee, This was complimented with an infininty-edge water feature visible from the main living room window.
